Jed Purses works with entrepreneurial and high achieving 25- to 40-year-olds who want to leverage their personal acumen to create meaning, purpose, fulfillment and greater good. As a Street Counselor and artist, Jed loves sharing the meaningful stories, inspiration, and wisdom from his time counseling the homeless, executives, and other extra-ordinary folks on the streets of San Francisco. Jed is a graduate of the Interchange Counseling Institute and is now a member of the faculty.
Melissa (Missa) Bayne, PhD, specializes in entrepreneurial counseling, conflict resolution, and interpersonal relationship issues. Having earned her doctorate in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz in 2012, Missa now serves among the psychology faculty at UC Berkeley and as a Co-Founder of the East Bay Counseling Collective. Missa is a graduate of the Interchange Counseling Institute and has served as a faculty member since 2014. Her clients perceive her as "a fierce mama-bear protector" and "a brilliant cocktail of empathy, sunshine and acute realness."
Adia Millett, MFA, loves to help people discover creative ways to find happiness. She works with individuals of all ages, genders, and ethnicities through both talk and art counseling. Adia specializes in helping people confront challenges with loss/bereavement, break ups/relationships, anxiety, and self confidence. She is a certified counselor of the Interchange Counseling Institute and has studied life coaching, EFT therapy, and Hatha yoga. She has a BFA, with a minor in education from UC Berkeley, and an MFA from California College of the Arts.
Anna Hirsch, MFA, is on a mission to better understand and spread compersion, the joy we experience when witnessing the success and happiness of others. A key component of empathy and a vital corollary to compassion, practicing compersion has an incredible untapped potential to help heal, grow, and liberate our love on the path to more fulfilling relationships of all kinds. Anna studies clinical psychology at SFSU, while also expanding a private counseling practice that is polyamory friendly and sex positive. Anna is a two-time graduate and past assistant facilitator of Interchange Counseling Institute. She has an MFA in creative writing and over a decade of experience helping craft social justice stories to change lives.
